We went skiing a few times and watched the Cougars (mostly Jimmer) play against the Lobos and Utes; it was a lot of fun. I have now learned how to ski after all these years living in Utah without hitting the slopes. The first time I tried, I was terrible. I couldn't make a turn because my upper body was so weird, haha. I cried out of frustration and pain (from falling so much). I gave up feeling frustrated and retarded. Especially, I felt like a fool falling up and down the hills while the 3-4 year olds skied better than me. After Brett taught me a cool tip, I made myself try again and again. Finally, it made sense and my body learned how to balance and control the skis. At the end, it was worth it to be able to fly down the hill so fast. Seriously, I'm totally hooked. My goal next year is to learn how to snowboard and finally take out my snowboard, which was bought 2 years ago and has been untouched and sitting in the garage collecting dust. I really need to justify spending money on that piece of expensive Burton :)
Loving it in Park City!
Brett was getting ready to hit the slopes with his mad skills. He was a great teacher, so patient with my clumsiness.
Yes, it's me waiting in line for my turn to *shine*, jk haha.
I have to post some pictures from the BYU games we went to. The game against the Lobos was hard to watch. We lost twice to our nemesis, but crushed them in the Mountain West Conference, which was absolutely terrific. It was fun to be there supporting the team and to watch the Jimmer play while he's still at BYU.
I kind of missed being in the students section at a basket ball game. So much fun even just to watch them as some old folks.
Definitely needed Davies on the subsequent games :(
Charles in charge!
And it went in
Jimmer was making his way to the basket. Watch out, boys!
May your next year will be just as good or better without Jimmer. We'll be there to cheer loudly!
